Pumpkin Pecan Muffins
Work While It Is Day
John 9:4-5
These muffins are perfect for an easy dessert or breakfast for a crowd. Try other mix-ins like milk or white chocolate.
Pumpkin Pecan Muffins
1 box butter pecan cake mix
15 oz can pumpkin purée
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup milk chocolate chips
Directions:
Blend pumpkin purée and three beaten eggs into the cake mix.
Do not follow the directions on the cake mix box. Gently stir in 1 cup pecans, ½ cup of chocolate chips (or any other mix-in). In a lined muffin tin, bake on 350 for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean.

The end of daylight savings time is a tough transition for me. I don’t care about going to work in daylight. What I don’t like, is the whole getting dark early thing. Ughhh.
Jesus teaches us to work while it is day. These shorter days are a reminder to us that our time to share the gospel, to be faithful to the gospel, to bring other to Jesus and tell them about the salvation that he brings has always been limited. In fact, even for Jesus, his time here on earth to carry out the plan of salvation was limited.
Too often we get swept up in our daily grind like every day is promised to us. And it’s not. We will not live forever, and the world will not go on forever. When Jesus returns, it will bring a new day, a new Heaven and new earth. And this world and time as we know it will end.
Let us live as though daylight is not infinite, and every day, and every opportunity that we have to live and witness for Jesus is not taken for granted.
