Strawberry Cake
2 cups white sugar
1 (3 oz) package strawberry flavored Jello
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
2 ¾ cups sifted flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
1 cup whole milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ cup strawberry puree from frozen, sweetened strawberries
Cream butter, sugar, and dry strawberry gelatin, beat in eggs one at a time
Sift flour and baking powder, add to batter, alternating with buttermilk
Add strawberry puree and vanilla extract
Bake in two 9-inch pans for 25 minutes on 350.

Store-bought strawberry icing
1 (8oz) pkg of cream cheese (softened)
1 tsp vanilla
