Devotional:
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
We often think of the New Year as a time of new beginnings and a fresh start. But Easter, Resurrection Sunday, is the time to celebrate a new start and a new beginning. After all, with Jesus’ death, our old lives are buried with him. And with his resurrection, the power of sin and death over our lives are broken.
We live a life of freedom. We can begin again, without the shame of the past, knowing all is forgiven, and what lies ahead is grace and mercy. So let’s make a Resurrection resolution and live into the new life and new beginning that Jesus has given us without price.
