Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 ½ cups salted butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 ½ cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ tbsp vanilla extract
4 ¼ cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
½ cup Heath or toffee chips
(Optional) sea salt to taste
Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until fluffy. Then add two eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder just until blended. This will be a thick dough. Stir in the chocolate chips and Heath chips by hand. Use an ice cream scooper to scoop about ½ cup balls of cookie dough onto the pan. Bake six giant cookies per cookie sheet on 375 degrees for 10-11 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan, then enjoy. Tastes like a Crumbl cookie!

Devotional:
“The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.”
Matthew 4:16 NRSV
Christmas is a reminder, that when we have no hope, God will do for us, what we cannot do for ourselves and in a way that we never dreamed of. The people in darkness have seen a great light. This light is enough to save the world. This light is enough for tomorrow.
